River City Bikes & River Adventures is a locally-owned outdoor outfitter based in Caldwell, WV. We rent tubes, kayaks, bikes, and e-bikes for the Greenbrier River and the Greenbrier River Trail. That's what we do — and we've kept it focused on purpose.

The Greenbrier Valley has two world-class outdoor experiences right in its backyard: one of the best flatwater rivers on the East Coast and one of the finest rail trails in the country. Most people who come through here for the resort or for Lewisburg's restaurants and shops don't know those things exist, or don't know where to start. We started River City to be that starting point.

We're not a resort activity desk and we're not a big outdoor chain. We're a small operation that knows this river and this trail personally — and we want you to have a great day on them. We keep logistics simple, our gear is well-maintained, and if you have a question about where to go or what to expect, we'll give you a straight answer.

Caldwell isn't a town most people have heard of, but its location is everything. We sit between Lewisburg — one of the most celebrated small cities in Appalachia — and White Sulphur Springs, home to The Greenbrier resort. The Greenbrier River runs right through, and the southern entrance to the 78-mile Greenbrier River Trail is less than a mile away. When you rent from us, you're in the water or on the trail within minutes.
